Stranded in a strange, new world, can she trust her protector will help her find home?
Adaline can’t admit she feels alone. After losing the last of her family, she buries herself in her research, determined to unravel the mysteries surrounding her father’s unfinished work. She discovers more than she ever imagined when she unexpectedly travels to another world—where elves are more than just myth.
Suddenly dependent on a curious human king and skeptical elf general, Adaline struggles to remain indifferent as she uncovers the history and hatred that’s kept these two species divided. Nor can she ignore that she might be the one to bring them together, even though she can’t stop yelling at that infuriating elf general. But the same qualities that help her to forge many unlikely friendships also make her the target of a hidden enemy who will stop at nothing to prevent elves and humans from coming together.
When Adaline’s new home falls under attack, she faces the fight of her life while she battles the idea that maybe this world needs her as much as she needs it.
Ruins and Redemption is ideal for readers who love a strong female lead, grumpy vs sunshine, fae and elves, and waiting evil. This slow-burn story sets the stage for a spicy epic romantasy. Don’t miss out on this breathtaking combination of fantasy, adventure, and romance.
"When I first got it, I thought to myself, this is not my kind of genre, so I put it aside. I ran out of books to read, and said, OK, let's give this a try, I am so very, very pleased that I did. I've become fully engaged in the story, and can't wait to pick the book up the next time I have a chance to read. Also, I do believe it's indicative of today's world; i.e. the separation of people, because they're different from us, political indications, etc. This is part of a saga, and now I can't wait for the next book to come out. I highly recommend this book!"
"I loved this book. It's about a girl who falls into another world. (I want to know how she did that because it's not quite clear. Hopefully there will be another book that explains more.) Anyways...the book is fast paced and very interesting. It has elves, magic, troubles and trials. There is also a lot of intrigue going on behind the scenes. My kind of book."
"Have you ever dreamt of entering a foreign fantasy world? Discovering their customs, learning about their way of living? Do you like strong characters who are not willing to give up easily, fighting between fitting in and speaking up? Then you will love this novel‘s main character, Adelaine. She caused me to read way past midnight and made me fall in love with with a fantasy world, and probably some elves too."
No, thank you. I'd rather be surprised.
