Stranded in a strange, new world, can she trust her protector will help her find home?
After losing the last of her family, Adaline buries herself in her research, only to unexpectedly travel to another world—where elves are more than just a myth. With no other options available, she finds herself dependent on the hospitality of a human king and the reluctant cooperation of an elf general. She doesn’t know whom she can trust, so she vows to find her own way home.
Meanwhile, her curiosity lures her further into the city, where elves and humans live side by side but rarely cross the divide. As she fights to remain herself while attempting to blend in, she gains new friends, human and elf alike. Yet she can’t seem to stop yelling at the elf general, who may hold the key to her returning to her own world.
Then her new home falls under attack. When the city’s hidden enemies make her their primary target, Adaline’s forced to fight for her life and accept that she can’t survive alone.
Set in a Renaissance-esque world, Ruins and Redemption includes a reluctant heroine who sees the good in others and a reticent elf trying to protect his people. It features a found family, hidden destiny, magical elves, fae lore, and waiting evil. As the first book of The Aerytol Saga, this fantasy story sets the stage for an epic spicy romance.
"When I first got it, I thought to myself, this is not my kind of genre, so I put it aside. I ran out of books to read, and said, OK, let's give this a try, I am so very, very pleased that I did. I've become fully engaged in the story, and can't wait to pick the book up the next time I have a chance to read. Also, I do believe it's indicative of today's world; i.e. the separation of people, because they're different from us, political indications, etc. This is part of a saga, and now I can't wait for the next book to come out. I highly recommend this book!"
"I loved this book. It's about a girl who falls into another world. (I want to know how she did that because it's not quite clear. Hopefully there will be another book that explains more.) Anyways...the book is fast paced and very interesting. It has elves, magic, troubles and trials. There is also a lot of intrigue going on behind the scenes. My kind of book."
"Have you ever dreamt of entering a foreign fantasy world? Discovering their customs, learning about their way of living? Do you like strong characters who are not willing to give up easily, fighting between fitting in and speaking up? Then you will love this novel‘s main character, Adelaine. She caused me to read way past midnight and made me fall in love with with a fantasy world, and probably some elves too."
No, thank you. I'd rather be surprised.
